Facebook recently announced a new AI program called ‘Revenge Porn’, designed to stop sharing of intimate photo and video without permission.
Facebook's Mark Zuckerberg, said the initiative was as a result of several requests placed by it's users and will help protect the people's privacy, hereby keeping them safe.
He also stressed that "Revenge porn's" algorithm is designed to track down and stop any intimate photo shared on Facebook without permission and disallow it from being shared on all social media platforms.

‘Revenge Porn’ is a widespread issue on the internet, with one in 25 people in the U.S. being victims of non-consensual image sharing, according to a 2016 report from the Data & Society Research Institute and the Center for Innovative Public Health Research.
The tools announced on Wednesday are intended to address a uniquely modern and pernicious form of harassment.
The company has been sued in the past by victims of revenge pornography who accused it of not doing enough to prevent the spread of their intimate images.
“We’re focused on building a community that keeps people safe,” Zuckerberg said in a Facebook post.
“That means building technology and AI tools to prevent harm.
“Today we’re rolling out new tools to prevent “revenge porn” from being shared on Facebook, Messenger and Instagram.
“Revenge porn is any intimate photo shared without permission.
“It’s wrong, it’s hurtful, and if you report it to us, we will now use AI and image recognition to prevent it from being shared across all of our platforms.”
The company is partnering with a handful of organizations, like the Cyber Civil Rights Initiative and the Revenge Porn Helpline, to offer support to people who are victims of revenge porn.
