Tesla Chief Executive Officer Elon Musk told corporate executives Saturday that quitting President Donald Trump's business advisory council was "wrong," days after Uber CEO Travis Kalanick left in protest of last week's refugee executive order.
Musk posted his comments on Twitter:

Kalanick, who founded Uber in 2009, quit Trump's board on Thursday amid growing pressure over the president's refugee order and other immigration policies.
Many Uber drivers are immigrants themselves — and social media campaigns urged Uber customers to delete their accounts.
Kalanick said Thursday that he had spoken to Trump briefly about the immigration order "and its issues for our community," telling the president that he would not join the economic council.
Both Kalanick and Musk joined Trump's panel in December.
In his tweets Saturday, Musk said that he was able to discuss immigration issues with President Trump at an advisory council meeting on Friday.
"I understand the perspective of those who object to my attending this meeting," the CEO said on Twitter after the meeting, "but I believe at this time that engaging on critical issues will on balance serve the greater good."
